Wiped Out
Chris is wiped out! He has been in and out of Bloomington Hospital twice over the last 24 hours with a kidney stone. Thankfully, it passed tonight and he's in the clear. Whew! I'm not sure how thankful he'll be for this picture, though...

Memorial Day Weekend
We spent Memorial Day weekend in Indianapolis with family who visited for the Indianapolis 500. It was so much fun! We swam a lot, celebrated my cousin Laura's birthday, took walks, and helped my dad put the boat in the water. Cole gave his cars and ours a wash with some soap and the hose one afternoon, too. The funniest part was that he insisted on wearing no clothes. Picture a naked 2 year old with a big scrub brush and a bunch of matchbox cars in a soapy bucket on the driveway. Hilarious!

Beautiful Day
The beautiful campus of Indiana University is about six blocks from our house. So, today we took a walk to the music building where there are two huge fountains. I expected Cole to come home soaked, but he was surprisingly timid! Max enjoyed the ride, and even fell asleep on the way back. I had to post a picture of the gorgeous white peony flowers blooming in our front yard, too. Peonies are my most favorite spring flower!

Mulch for Young Life
On Saturday morning a group of Young Life leaders and kids came over to mulch our yard. It's a fundraiser they do every spring to raise money for middle school and high school kids to go to summer camp. We provided the tools and mulch, and they provided the labor. And you can see, their work was fabulous! If you live in Bloomington and need your yard mulched or any other yard work done this spring, get in touch with Young Life. They're awesome.

A Great Week
It was sad to say goodbye to Bubba & Gammy this afternoon, but we did have a fabulous week with them! We did all kinds of things including visiting the park, the Wonderlab science museum, and the Strawberry Festival downtown. They watched Max eat sweet potatoes, bananas, and avocados, too. Cole's latest fun activity is trying to feed Max and pick him up. I think he's just beginning to care that he has a brother!

The Clear Creek Trail
The boys and I ventured out to the Clear Creek Trail this morning for a run. It's not the Hauptallee in Vienna's Prater park, but it's the next best thing! I'm finally feeling like I have a handle...somewhat...on life since moving back from Vienna, renovating a house, Chris's long job search, and having a baby. So I'm starting to explore all there is to do in Bloomington. I know it sounds silly, but this is major for me!

The Boys
Max isn't so interested in laying down on the floor or sitting in his rocker seat much anymore. So we pulled out his Exersaucer this weekend and he had fun pushing himself up and moving around. He's still a little wobbly, though. You can see, too, that his pants are getting way too short. Time for the next size. He's a growing boy!
Cole's friend Ian came over this afternoon to take a nap and play. The nap didn't happen, but the play sure did! It was the first time Chris and I had seen 2 year old boys wrestle. Woah, was it hilarious!

Bubbles
We have a few things worthy of blog celebration today! First, bubbles! It was a perfect afternoon to chase bubbles around the back yard. Second, Max had his 4 month doctor appointment this morning, even though he won't be 4 months until Sunday. He's technically 17 weeks...who's counting? He weighs 15 lbs. 1 oz. and is 26 inches long. A growing boy! Cole was pretty good at Max's check up too, which made it great. And lastly, Cole asked for more vegetables at dinner time tonight! Carrots, sweet potatoes, and red peppers. Yay!
